Tickets on Sale for 2018 FIFA World Cup

Ticket sales are underway for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. But the global ticketing system is almost as complicated as the 32-team draw. The first stage of the first phase ticketing runs Sept. 14 through Oct. 12. FIFA says football fans can submit their ticket applications anytime during that period with the same chance of success. Phase one is getting underway with only eight teams ― including host nation Russia and second-ranked Brazil ― already qualified. There’s going to be a first-come, first-served stage of ticketing later on in phase one. Then ― after the final draw in December ― phase two begins with another random draw. Tickets are available according to specific matches, venues or teams. They start at about $110 for the group stage and max out at more than $1,100 for a great seat at the final (discounts apply for residents of Russia).
