Japan, Senegal and Russia gained three points on 19.06.2018

The Japanese and Senegalese team opened their 2018 FIFA World Cup Campaign with a win over Colombia and Poland while hosts Russia continued their winning momentum against Egypt to win their second match of the tournament.

Colombia vs Japan

The Colombian team suffered a serious blow in the 3rd minute of the match when Carlos Sanchez was awarded Red Card for handball in the penalty area, as a result of which Japan was awarded the penalty and they took the lead in the 6th Minute. Colombian team playing with 10 men came from behind and scored an equalizer in the 39th Minute of the Match. However, in the second half, Yuya Osako scored in the 73rd minute to regain the lead for Japan and the score stayed 2-1 in favor of Japan until the final whistle.

Poland vs Senegal

The Senegalese team got their hard work rewarded in the 37th Minute in form of an own goal from Thiago Cionek. In the Second half, Mbaye Niang doubled the lead for his side in the 60th Minute. Although Poland scored a late goal in the 86th Minute it proved too late and too little.

Russia vs Egypt

Russians were lucky to get the lead in the match in the 47th Minute of the Match in form of own goal from the Egyptian captain and the start striker Denis Cheryshev continued his golden run with the boot and scored his third goal of the tournament in the 59th Minute of the match to double the lead for his side. The hosts scored the third goal in the 62nd minute to make the score 3-0 in their favor. Egyptian star striker Mo Salha didn’t disappoint fans and scored a goal in the 73rd minute on the penalty but it was not enough for his side to avert the second defeat of the tournament.
